Lady Gaga on missing her brunette locks and why you don't need to dye your hair as much as she does

Gaga rose to fame just three years ago, and since then she's become a household name. Her songs are so infectious, even my 2-year old niece can sing to "Bad Romance."

Anyway, although Gaga is famous for donning crazy fashion pieces (and rocking them), her platinum blond hair is always a stand out. But, as most of you may be aware of, she was born brunette - and she's missing her natural dark locks now that her blond hair is falling out, due to frequent "chemical haircut."

Well, everything has a price. As for Lady Gaga's success, I do hope it's not her hair.

I'm sure a lot of ladies want to be in Gaga's shoes but I'm certain not one wants their locks to shed off.

Hair color is a big part of fashion. There is nothing wrong with following trends, but when it comes to hair, it's not something you just can put on and take off - well, except for wigs and extensions (weaves are a pain to put on and take off so it's no exception) - it’s on you no matter what you do so you have to think through what you're going to do with it.

If your job doesn't require you to change your hair color every month, then don't. Top models and celebrities have teams of beauty and hair care experts on call that can do magic no matter how damaged their locks are. If dyed your hair and several inches have grown back, only have those few inches dyed.  You can have your hair "retouched" every 6 to 8 weeks. You can do this on your own, but it's probably best to let experienced hairstylist do it.

Simple Summer Hair Care Tips

Summer is here again, and what it doesn't forget to bring is sweat, heat, and humidity. But what irritates people - particularly the ladies - the most during this season, aside from dry and itchy skin, is dry hair and itchy scalp - especially in Vegas where summer is really brutal.  But no matter how you want you locks to look perfect, you can't always go for
Las Vegas salon treatment.

Below are some summer hair care tips:

- While you can lather sunscreen all over your body, you can't do the same thing on your hair as there are no hair sunscreens available in the market. Your best option is to condition it very often. I repeat, "condition," as too much shampooing will just make it drier.

- You may not believe this, but summer is actually a good time to colour your hair; colouring coats hair strands and protects them from direct sunlight.

-The simplest you to protect your hair this summer is by wearing a cap or donning a scarf. Do this and you can go forth and enjoy your summer break!
